Easily recognizable for its rich, sweet-musky scent, patchouli is regularly used in perfumery, as well as in scented products such as laundry detergents and air fresheners. Patchouli essential oil benefits the skin in a variety of ways. It provides smoothness and radiance to the complexion and is often applied topically to reduce the appearance of blemishes or minor skin imperfections. The scent of patchouli can also help to calm emotions.
How to use
- Use one or two drops to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, discoloration, or problem areas, or add to your favorite moisturizer.
- Combine with Vetiver and apply to the soles of your feet for a calming aroma.
Application Tips
Local application: apply one to two drops to desired area. Dilute with doTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil to minimize skin sensitivity. Aromatic use: use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.
Contraindications
Possible skin sensitivity. Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant, nursing or under medical care, consult a physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears and sensitive areas. Avoid sunlight or UV rays for up to 12 hours after applying the product.
