Petitgrain essential oil is extracted from the bitter orange tree, which has been used in traditional healing practices for centuries. Historically, petitgrain essential oil was used for cleaning purposes. However, emerging scientific evidence is confirming many additional uses and benefits of petitgrain oil. Among other things, it provides a sense of relaxation and reduces the appearance of skin imperfections. Petitgrain oil is commonly used in perfumery for its fresh, herbal aroma. Petitgrain oil also makes a great companion to lavender essential oil, as they share many similar benefits.

How to use

• Diffuse for a calming and relaxing aroma. Blends well with other citrus oils, Cassia, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, Geranium and Lemongrass.
• Before going to bed, add a few drops of Petitgrain together with Lavender or Bergamot to your pillows and bedding.

Application Tips

Local application: apply one to two drops to desired area. Dilute with doTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil to minimize skin sensitivity. Aromatic use: use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.

Contraindications

Possible skin sensitivity. Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant, nursing or under medical care, consult a physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears and sensitive areas. Avoid sunlight or UV rays for up to 12 hours after applying the product.
